Technology Leader, Community Partner.

Spokes for Little Folks

XI Technologies is very proud of our recent campaign designed to share our success as a company with children in Calgary who are less fortunate. It was our great pleasure to send 60 children home with their first shiny new bicycle and in every case, a huge smile! This event took place on the morning of Saturday September 10, 2005 at Chinook Centre.

“We have seen how proper training and support has benefited our clients, especially when provided before the busy fall and winter seasons approach. We wanted to carry this theme into the community by supporting and training in need children and families. encouraged XI Technologies owners Don Newsome and Paul La Flèche. We provided these kids with new bikes and the safety training they need to be safe for years to come.”

Recipients of the bicycles were chosen by Calgary Family Services, Hull Child and Family Services and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary. We would like to graciously thank the many companies enthusiastically supporting the campaign; without their generosity this event would not have taken place, they are: Calgary Paramedics Charity Society, SportChek, Chinook Centre Security and Bike Patrol Team, Spolumbo's, My Favorite Ice Cream Shop and The Paramount Theatre Chinook, who donated use of the theatre for the children to pick up their bicycles, attend the safety clinic as well as a free movie and popcorn.

XI Technologies specializes in enhanced energy information for the petroleum industry. Our client base accounts for over 80% of the production in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Our flagship products are: the H2S Search and the AssetBook. The H2S search is focused on EUB compliance and safety regulations and assists companies to prepare their drilling programs. The AssetBook helps companies identify potential acquisition, divestiture, merger, trade and farm-in opportunities.

Our event, perfectly titled, “Spokes for Little Folks” was a great success, thanks in no small part to the generosity of the organizations involved and the wisdom to know that it is truly better to give than it is to receive!
