A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES

is pleased to support the Calgary community through
unique
and innovative donation campaigns.
March 2006 - Our most recent initiative "A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES", provided a large group of the Calgary Drop-In Centre and Rehab Society residents with an entertaining social activity. Packages were presented to the Drop-In Centre in January, February and March, which included movie tickets for the Famous Players Chinook Theatre, dinner and transportation to and from the theatre. The attendees were delighted with a night out at the movies and XI Technologies is proud to continue our support to the Calgary community!
The Calgary Drop-In Centre provides shelter to approximately 1000 people per night and serves approximately 3500 meals per day.
Support for this initiative was through an internal contest where XI Employees were challenged to meet and exceed their goals for the first quarter of 2006. The winners of the contest were treated to a steak dinner at the Calgary Chophouse, the losing team would enjoy a meal of beans! With a healthy dose of humour, the losing team graciously accepted their defeat by arriving at the dinner in a stretch limousine, dressed in matching tuxes, complete with top hats and canes! Of course the Chophouse staff thought we were completely wacky, but they got into the spirit of the evening and served us all a meal to be remembered.
